Right, so I have finally gotten off my butt and removed our scans/releases from Mangafox. As you may or may not know, Mangafox is the bane of our existence (scanlators). The company that runs the website, NOEZ, is an actual corporation, if you’d call it that. They are known for their illegal activities, and their keen ability to get away with it…anyway, this group uses sites like MF for monetary gain. I won’t get into all the dirty details…but if you want to know, visit this link for more info on the situation.
Now, since a lot of our readers use MF…I’ve gone and grabbed the Foolslider. \o/
Over the next few days, I’ll be changing stuff on the site (the Read Online links), so bear with me on that…

I was wondering how you go about applying for being a cleaner I don’t have expereince but I do have photoshop CS5 and Denoise as well as knowlage of how to actally use photoshop since I use it on quite often where I work but other then that I have no expereince in cleaning.

I have a suggestion to make about taking down Mangafox. It is possible to make a complaint to Google that removes a site from the search results. We could all do this with Mangafox, and a lot of the visitors to Mangafox would disappear.

If we all join together we CAN remove Mangafox and their revenue will drop tenfold.

uh yeah, aren’t we also like… doing illegal thing?? i mean, i read unpaid stuff and uh, you scan unlicensed stuff…
i fear that it will gave unwanted attention to our community, like the incident that bring down onemanga. imagine what will happen if one of those “legal” came and went apeshit on this site or any other major scanlator site?
well at least some of us will have more than enough motivation to learn Japanese. but my point is, anything that involve press or formal claim is bad idea… it’s like saying out loud “copyright infringement” to all the world.
