How to Navigate:

View the Series you are interested in applying for, then click on the Position you wish to fill at the top of column (the blue link).
You will be taken to the Job’s description, and then by clicking the position’s title again, the application itself.
“Slots” refers to how many people we need in order to fill the position (to change it to “Closed”).
If a position is “Closed”, and you feel that you have something more to offer than the current assigned staff, apply for it and explain your reasoning.

Cleaner:
You are the one who is in charge of making the RAW form of each page extra awesome. You will use Photoshop like it’s a breathing apparatus. Your main tool is a Topaz Denoise (3-5). You will wield this tool whenever necessary to clean pages. You will need to know how to use a specific list of Photoshop tools and such. You are allowed to use any version of Photoshop, though it is preferred that you use Photoshop CS2 + (preferably CS4/CS5) or Photoshop Elements for compatibility issues. We also provide training from scratch, all you need to have ready is Photoshop. Just request it in your application should you need it.

Typesetter:
Your job is to insert the text into bubbles, boxes and what have you on a cleaned image of manga. You step in to typeset after the pages that have been cleaned are ready to go and the translations have been proofread. You will accumulate an obnoxious amount of fonts on your computer, and you must use them to your advantage. There are certain guidelines that you must follow for typesetting all of our manga, but that is for order and consistency. When it comes to SFX…we encourage you to go wild. Websites for font downloading are everywhere, but the most used ones are www.blambot.com, www.dafont.com, www.1001fonts.com and more. Google it.

Proofreader:
Your job is to read through the translations provided by a translator and make sure that they consist of nothing but flowing and structurally sound English. Simply put, you change this, you change that, you make sense of any mistakes in the translations. You must watch out for phrases and grammatical sentences that may have been lost in the transition from _______ (insert Asian language here) to English.

Translator:
Your job is to translate the Japanese/Korean/Chinese version of a manga into English. You type up a transcript of sorts for the proofreader to proofread and the typesetter to typeset. You are praised because you are awesome. The end.

Quality Checker:
Quality Checkers are the last leg of the journey–when it comes to releasing, anyway.
You are the person who makes sure that the release is up to standard and ready to be read by our fans.
