“Slots” refers to how many people we need in order to fill the position (to change it to “Closed”).
If a position is “Closed”, and you feel that you have something more to offer than the current assigned staff, apply for it and explain your reasoning.

If you are applying for SS staff, it is automatically assumed that you have an overall understanding of the English language, as that is how we communicate. If you cannot speak English well enough to understand the instructions given out to you by your recruiter, then we apologize, but we cannot work around the language barrier, so adding you to the staff would not be efficient.
